After high school I headed west to the University of Montana, where I got an unofficial degree in fly fishing the west and was consumed by the lifestyle. After recieving my B.A. in Environmental Policy I began guiding on the Bighorn River. I now live with my wife in Missoula, MT splitting my time between the freestone rivers of western montana and the Bighorn. I have also spent time guiding in Alaska, Washington and Colorado. | David Palmer – Guide/ Co-Founder/Blogger….”I’ve been fishing since I was three, starting with dunking worms for walleye. My first experience at “fly” fishing was cutting a willow branch, scrounging some fishing line and a bare hook from my aunt’s shed, digging up a few worms and passing them through deep holes in a creek that ran through the ranch. Five browns later, my love for stream fishing was born. I’ve spent almost my entire life fishing the lakes and streams of south central Montana. I took up guiding so I could enjoy as much time as possible on Montana’s great waters.”David’s passion for the Bighorn River comes to life when he is guiding, his love for the river and it’s fish are second to none. David also enjoys photography and tying unique fly patterns for the Bighorn. #12456 | |

Dale started fly fishing the river right out of high school and is one of the only Licensed outfitters on the river who is a Crow tribal member.
